Laura Posada is a multi-talented woman: mother, attorney, motivational speaker, author, certified master coach, certified personal trainer, TV personality, philanthropic figure and creator of the 40 is the new 20 Movement. Through her social media messaging, she provides a complete guide to wellness that includes exercise, nutrition, mindset and motivation. She has a powerful online presence with more than 600,000 followers across her platforms.
Laura has worked with many brands, among these, as Brand Ambassador for Wonderful Pistachios promoting healthy eating habits. She was the first Latina to work as a spokesperson for the brand and her campaign received two Bravo awards for campaign of the year in the Health and Nutrition category and in the Food and Drink category as well. Through her own brand “40 is the new 20” she creates useful content to improve physical and mental well-being, health, fitness and workout, nutrition, lifestyle and motivation.
After obtaining her certification as a Master Coach at the Center for Coaching Certification in 2013, Laura began guiding private clients, to help them improve their lives and reach all their goals. Her wide experience as a Master Coach is reflected in countless talks, conferences and social media lives that she has delivered to address themes that include how to turn obstacles into opportunities, how to be a good leader, how to achieve your goals, how to have a healthier life, among others. She shares her best tips, tricks, and secrets to make her clients feel and look like they’re just getting started.
Laura has travelled around the United States and Latin America delivering her motivational conferences to important companies and personalities such as 4Life, ASI Summit, Walmart and Ismael Cala. She has delivered her conferences before audiences of up to 9,000 attendees in locations such as New York, Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Washington, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Peru.
Laura has collaborated commercially with well-known brands that share her interest in wellness and health, such as Naked Turtle, Neutrogena, L’Oréal, Wonderful Pistachios, Target, Zyrtec, Goya, Spotify, among many others.
Laura showcased her life coaching expertise as producer and host of her own TV show, Manual de Supervivencia con Laura Posada (Survival Guide with Laura Posada), which aired on Utilisima and FoxLife. Likewise, she has appeared as a regular contributor on NBC’s national morning program The Today Show to showcase her life coaching tips and also makes regular appearances on Univision’s Despierta América and Telemundo shows, amongst others.
In addition, she has appeared in many radio and TV shows such as: Discovery Channel’s American Chopper, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Doctors, E! True Hollywood Stories’ Baseball Wives, The Wendy Williams Show, and HBO’s Bryant Gumbel’s Real Stories, just to mention a few.
Laura has been a contributor for over 20 different publications including El Diario newspaper, El Digital, La Raza, El Vocero, Inspirulina, and Siempre Mujer Magazine. Gente Latina Magazine, Somos La Revista, Santo Domingo Times.
Laura is also a prominent writer and has published two award-winning books Fit Home Team and The Beauty of Love. Recently, she released her third book La Dieta Mental: Tu Clave Para Ser Feliz (The Mental Diet: Your Key to Happiness). Her first book was awarded three Atria Book Awards in 2009, and she was the second place winner in the categories Best Health Book, Best Parenting and Family Book, and Best Book in the Mariposa Awards.
In the philanthropic world Laura’s work was recognized by the prestigious Wall Street Journal. Her work in this area started when at the end of the 90s, Laura’s son was born with Craniosynostosis, which inspired her to create The Jorge Posada Foundation along with her husband Jorge Posada (now retired All Star catcher for the New York Yankees) to raise awareness about this condition and help others going through the same situation. The Jorge Posada Foundation joined the MyFace Foundation in 2012, where Laura has been a Board Member for the last 18 years. Her activism and solid work were recognized by President Obama on April 2011. In 2017, as a response to Hurricane Maria and the devastation caused in Puerto Rico she founded the Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief Foundation. Up to date the Fund has raised more than $1,000,000 and has delivered relief to many areas of the Island.
